Protecting forestry resources to reduce discharges of solid wastes

Taking a company of 5,000 people as an example, if each person travels once a year on business trip, then according to the statistics of IDC, in case the application of video conferencing system cuts down the travelling times by 30%, then we will reduce business trips by 1500 times a year (5000 people x 1 time x 30% decrease = 1500 times) and cut down the number of flights by 3000 times (each trip requires 2 flights 1500 times x 2 = 3000 flights).

Economizing

If we calculate by 3500 Yuan as the cost for one trip (including air tickets, airport fees, tax, taxi, hotels, etc,), each trip costing two workings and 400 Yuan as a per-day salary, then we will be able to save 6,450,000 Yuan (1500 times x (3500 Yuan + (2 days x 400 Yuan)= 6,450,000 Yuan).

Environmental protection

Now let us see how much fuel consumption and emission of warmhousegreenhouse gases we can reduce in five years’ time when we are trying to promote environmental protection in addition to saving office expenses.

If we calculate by each flight flying 1000 km, consuming 0.1 ton of fuel and emits 0.3 tons of carbon dioxide, we will be able to reduce the fuel consumption by 300 tons (3000 flights x 0.1 ton/time = 300 tons).

And we can reduce emissions of warmhousegreenhouse gases by 900 tons (3000 flights x 0.3 ton/time = 900 tons).
